Field Trips
We are glad you are considering a field trip to the Iroquois County Old Courthouse Museum. We ask if you are planning to come to the museum that you call ahead so we can plan accordingly. There are several options that can help you plan your trip.
Tours
Tour Guide- We can provide a tour guide(s) to take your class around the museum and learn about the history of Iroquois County.
Paper Guide- We will have available a tour book giving a brief explanation of each room, including what the room was used for during the building time as an operating courthouse.
Tour Length- Guided tours of the museum last for about an hour and a half to two hours.
Tour Times- Tours may be given from 10:00 A.M until 2:00 P.M. Arrangements may be made for tours at different times by emailing or by calling 815-432-2215.
Fee- All educators may bring their classes to the museum at no cost. We welcome all educators.
Becoming a member- If you are a teacher bringing your class through the museum you will become a Student Group member of the Historical Society. We will send you our newsletter so you can keep up with all of the new happenings.
