Our Mission
The mission of the Iroquois County Historical Society is to bring together those people interested in history, especially of the Iroquois County area. The Society's major function would be to discover and collect any material that would help establish or illustrate the history of the area. It will display the County's history to arouse interest in the past. Preservation of this material is also key in our mission.

The Old Courthouse Museum is operated by the Iroquois County Historical Society, a not-for-profit corporation. Because it is not the recipient of large grants or subsidies, the Society is dependent upon the generous support of our visitors such as you: regular donations toward expenses by members: many who include remembrances in estates: memberships and personal help, plus county businesses and organizations all interested in retaining and recording history of Iroquois County, our home, thus preserving our rich heritage.
